O’Hare is Chicago’s largest airport and will likely have the most flight options for out-of-town guests. It’s located about 17 miles northwest of downtown, and traffic can be heavy during peak commuting hours.

Commute to downtown:

CTA Blue Line: 40-50 min ($5)

O’Hare Airport (ORD)

Midway is Chicago’s smaller airport and is located about 10 miles southwest of downtown. It primarily serves domestic flights (mainly Southwest, Delta, Frontier) and can be a quick and easy airport to navigate.

Commute to downtown:

CTA Orange Line: 25-30 min ($2.50)
